Overview
These Terms of Service govern your use of Upcademy’s online education platform. By enrolling in a class, subscribing to our services, or accessing our website, you agree to comply with these terms.
Rescheduling and cancellation
Rescheduling is subject to availability and is not guaranteed. Please let us know about scheduling changes as early as possible.
Moving a class. A class can be moved free of charge, once, to another of your teacher’s available times within 7 days of its original time. Use the Reschedule link in your class reminder up to 3 hours before the class starts; messages to our team don’t reschedule a class. A class that has already been rescheduled can’t be moved again.
Skipping a class. You can skip a single class up to 3 hours before it starts. A skipped class counts as used.
After the cutoff. Changes close 3 hours before a class starts. After that, a class that is missed counts as used and cannot be moved, made up or refunded.
Teacher cancellations. If a teacher cancels a class, the class will be rescheduled at no extra cost.
Refunds
All payments are final. We do not offer refunds for missed classes, cancellations, or unused subscription periods.
Subscription and expiry
Nonrolling classes. Unused classes cannot carry over to the next billing cycle.
Recurring payments. Subscriptions are billed automatically, and payments are due on the scheduled renewal date. It is the user’s responsibility to cancel before the next billing cycle if they do not wish to continue.
Conduct and behavior
Parent questions. Parents may not interrupt the class to ask teachers questions. For any inquiries, parents must contact customer support directly.
Respectful interaction. All students and parents must engage with teachers and staff respectfully.
Disruptive behavior. If a student or parent is disruptive in class, Upcademy reserves the right to remove them from the class.
Fair usage and responsibilities
One account per family. Each account is for personal family use only and should not be shared with others.
Accurate information. Users must provide accurate contact and payment details.
Parental supervision. Parents are responsible for ensuring a safe and quiet learning environment for their children.
Payment and billing
Accepted payments. We accept major credit and debit cards and digital wallets. We do not accept bank transfers.
Failed payments. If a payment fails, access to classes may be restricted until payment is received.
Taxes and fees. Any applicable taxes or processing fees are the responsibility of the customer.
Technical issues and access
Stable internet required. Users must ensure they have a stable internet connection for classes.
No liability for downtime. We strive for high platform availability but are not responsible for unexpected downtime.
Troubleshooting support. If you face technical issues, contact our support team.
